This rope is made from recycled food wrappers and found within rope stalls in the hardware district in Jaipur, India. While it has a wide variety of uses, its primary application is as a weaving material for the webbed sleeping surface on charpai beds. It is wound on the pink sandstone in Jaipur, the “pink” city in India.
